Meet Lily, the artist behind the Green Gallery

My name is Lily Bejarno, I'm an artist who was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. I specialize in making artwork that focuses on nature and science, which includes a wide variety of plants, animals, anatomy, and biological structures. From a young age, I have always been drawn to art and being able to bring the ideas from my imagination to life. Throughout high school, I discovered my love for science and it was not until after I began working on my Bachelor's Degree in Biology that I started pulling images and concepts from my biology and anatomy textbooks into my artwork, allowing me to merge my two passions into one. From there it bloomed into something that I never could've seen coming and my passion for art reemerged stronger than ever. I love to experiment with new concepts and work with many art mediums, using my skills to tell stories and bring other's ideas to life!
